Manchester United have officially named Christopher Vivell as their new director of recruitment. The 38-year-old German, previously part of Chelsea’s setup, will now take charge of enhancing United’s talent acquisition.

Despite his key role in the club’s recruitment structure, Vivell is not considered a replacement for Dan Ashworth. Instead, he will report to technical director Jason Wilcox, who has expanded his responsibilities following Ashworth’s exit.
