The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Ladies Movement has congratulated Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on her historic swearing into office as Ghana’s first female Vice President. In a statement, the group praised Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s achievement as a monumental step forward for gender equity and women’s empowerment in Ghana and beyond.

The Vice President Gifty Lovelock Naana Fianu, in an exclusive interview, acknowledged Prof. Opoku-Agyemang’s steadfast dedication to serving Ghana with integrity, compassion, and a vision for inclusive growth.

She also commended her progressive policies, including the establishment of the Women’s Development Bank and the provision of free sanitary pads for school girls.

These initiatives, the vice president of the movement noted, demonstrate a commitment to empowering women economically and ensuring the dignity and well-being of young girls. The Abossey Okai Spare Parts Ladies Movement pledged their unwavering support and solidarity as Prof. Opoku-Agyemang embarks on her transformative journey, working towards a Ghana where every woman and girl can realize their full potential.

This congratulatory message is not the first time the Abossey Okai Spare Parts Association has publicly shown support for national leaders. Previously, they congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his victory in the general elections, expressing gratitude to the public for voting decisively for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
