Member of Parliament (MP) for the Assin Central Constituency who double as the Chairman for Central Region NPP MP’s, Mr Kennedy Agyapong has supported the business activities of 800 petty traders in some Communities within his Constituency with Amount of Gh¢200 Each.

On a “Meet Yor MP Tour” by the Assin Central Legislator,

He Visited Four Electoral Areas in the Assin Central Constituency which are Assin Swedru Akwapim, Assin Obra Y3 Oko, Assin Bukari and Assin Awisem, there then these over 800 petty traders Pleaded with him to support them with some amount to support their businesses.

Mr Kennedy Agyapong urged the beneficiaries to put the money to good use while they avoid extravagant lifestyles that would see the money diminish in no time. He stressed that the money was to help the women to have improved standards of living, without political sentiments.

The Chief and Elders of the Above Mentioned Communities warmly welcomed the MP and his entourage and offered prayers and Thank him after the donation.

Hon Kennedy Agyapong disclosed that the funds were sourced from his own Swet and not from Government or Any other Sources.

together with his team, he visited the The health Center at Assin Swedru Akwapim and other places within the constituency to ascertain some of their challenges.

Checks by the Mp indicated that, most women were involved in petty trading but lacked the needed capital to sustain their business thereby making it difficult for them to make ends meet.

Some of the beneficiaries who had the opportunity to speak to Oman Fm Reporter Isaac Donkoh were full of excitement over what the Mp has done for them. They expressed gratitude to the MP for Showing them such love.

They Added that the donation would go a long way to improve upon the livelihood of them and they will also do well to ensure that the monies are put to good use.
