“City Response Team” under the operation clean your frontage campaign officers have been passed out after undergoing some training by the military.

Speaking at the passing out ceremony at 5BN Court Square in Burma Camp on Monday 26th April, 2022 the Greater Accra Regional Minister, MP Ayawaso Central Hon. Henry Quartey said, much has been said already about making Greater Accra work and is now time for action.

One thousand out of the over three thousand officers targeted pass out today.

According to Hon Quartey, the officers would be paraded through some principal streets of Accra tomorrow (Tuesday, 27th April 2022) to demonstrate to the general public their readiness and then officially commence work on 1st and 2nd May 2022.

He cautioned the officers not to take the law into their own hands and work within their scope.

He spoke to Oman news after the launch.

Representing President of the land Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, was the Interior Minister and MP for Nandom Constituency, Ambrose Dery, commend the RCC and said the cleaning and greening of the environment will boost tourists attraction, create jobs and government is in full support of the operation.

He said the Taskforce dubbed ” City Response Team’ is duly established and is a long-term plan to maintain discipline in the region.

This includes Traffic management, Education on good waste management practices, parking and selling at unauthorized places.

He urged the task force to work within the confine of the law.
