General Officer Commanding the Southern Command (GOC) of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Brigadier General Amoah Ayisi has said the first batch of trainees of the City Response Team is adequately trained to execute the task ahead of them.

In remarks at the 5th Infantry Batallion (5BN) during the passing out ceremony of the City Response Team, he said he is optimistic that the four weeks rigorous training which includes basic military disciplines, physical and personal safety, protection of the environment, key installations, team spirit, physical and endurance is enough for the task ahead.

According to him, the objective of the training has been achieved and tasked the personnel to go and discharged their duties diligently.

More importantly, he said the cooperation between the military and the civilians is key in nation-building.

The personnel were grouped into teams such as the VIP Protection Team, Control and Commandos.
