The government says its vaccination drive has taken off smoothly as it is expecting more vaccines in the coming weeks.

About 1.3 million Pfizer, 1.2 million Moderna and 600,000 AstraZeneca vaccines are expected to augment the government’s vaccination efforts.

Director-General of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Patrick Kumah Aboagye who announced this at a media briefing in Accra, noted that Government is committed to achieving herd immunity by vaccinating 20 million of the population.
