Assin Central MP Kennedy Agyapong has donated some 150, 000 pieces of medically approved face masks to the Office of the President at the Jubilee House.

The brief presentation which was graced by the Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei Opare was according to the Assin Central Parliamentarian, his widow’s mite to the presidency in the battle against the dreaded corona virus.

Presenting the items to the Chief of Staff, Hon Kennedy Agyapong said the grim situation at hand called for all hands on deck and with the presidency being the epitome of the nation’s governance, it was only prudent to include it his distribution list.



Akosua Frema Osei Opare on her part, expressed her thanks to the Assin Central MP and said even though the presidency was resourced, the presentation was timely and exemplary.

In an interview with the media later, Kennedy Agyapong implored the defiant activities of market traders who defy the social distancing protocols especially at the markets and other public places.



He further admonished media practitioners to intensify its education efforts to complement government’s drive to spread the word of caution across the country.
