The Inspector-General of Police, Christian Tetteh Yohuno has directed an investigation into the alleged unauthorized withdrawal of GH¢400,000 from a mobile money account reportedly linked to police officers in Kibi. The directive follows emerging reports that raise concerns about possible misconduct and financial irregularities connected to the incident.

Authorities say the probe will seek to establish the circumstances surrounding the transaction, identify those involved, and determine whether any laws or professional standards were breached. Police leadership has assured the public that the investigation will be thorough and that anyone found culpable will face the appropriate disciplinary or legal action.

The case has drawn public attention due to the large sum involved and the alleged involvement of law enforcement personnel. Further updates are expected as investigators continue their work.
