The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will today, 28th September, 2020, begin a three-days working visit to the Ashanti Region.

On this tour, the President is expected to commission projects, break ground for new projects, and call on the revered palaces of traditional authorities.

On day 1 of his tour, President Akufo-Addo will visit Unijay, a factory under One District One Factory intiative within Asokwa Constituency. From there, he shall move to Kumasi International Airport to inspect ongoing construction works under phase 2 of the project.

On that same day, the President shall pay a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei II after which he shall head to Afari, where the construction of the Military Hospital is ongoing for inspection.

From Afari, the President shall make a stop over at Tanoso-Abuakwa stretch where he shall have brief inspection of the ongoing roads construction there.

The President after that brief inspection, shall head towards Bosomtwe Constituency where he shall join the Chiefs at Bosomtwe for a durbar to welcome him.

From there, he shall commission the Kumasi Waste Recycling Plant situated within the Bosomtwe Constituency. The President shall round up his day at Kwadaso where he shall commission the Kasapreko Fruit Juice Factory under One District, One Factory Initiative.

Day 2 of the tour of Ashanti Region will begin in Nhyiaeso Constituency. Over there, President Akufo-Addo will commission several projects at Apraman. From there, he shall move to Asante Akyem South Constituency where the President shall commission a 12 unit classroom block at Juaso S.H.T.S. Still at Juaso in the Asante Akyem South Constituency, President Akufo-Addo will join the Chiefs for a durbar after which he shall inspect the ongoing construction of Juaso town roads.

From there, the President shall move to Asankare to inspect a Pork processing factory and a Fertilizer Processing Factory, all under One District One Factory Initiative. Still at Asante Akyem South, the President shall inspect Krofa- Dotiekrom ongoing road construction project.

The President shall then move to Asante Akyem Central to inspect Konongo town roads which are under construction, Reeder Steel Factory, a factory under One District One Factory Initiative and inspect ongoing construction of Boys Dormitory at Konongo Odumase S.HS.

The President shall round up his day at Golden Bean Hotel in the Nhyiaeso Constituency, where he shall inaugurate the Board for Tree Development.

On Day 3, the President shall begin his tour in the Asokwa Constituency.

At Kaase, the President shall cut sod for the commencement of the first phase of Kumasi-Obuasi railway line. From there, the President shall move to Maabang in the Ahafo-Ano North Constituency.

At Maabang, President Akufo-Addo shall inspect the ongoing construction of Maabang town roads. Still in the Ahafo-Ano North Constituency, President Akufo-Addo shall commission the Tepa District Hospital.

The President shall again, cut sod for the construction of phase 2 and 3 of Tepa town roads after which he shall join the Chiefs for a durbar within Tepa township.

The President shall commission a warehouse under the One District One Warehouse Initiative at Adikro Nkwanta which is also within the Ahafo-Ano North District. From there, the President shall move to the Ahafo-Ano South West Constituency. Over there, the President shall commission a 12 unit classroom block and inspect an ongoing construction of Boys Dormitory Block at Mankranso S.H.S.

The President shall round up his tour of the region by inspecting the ongoing construction of Mankranso Town roads.
