The Ghana Education Service has attributed the integrity of the 2025 WASSCE results to enhanced supervision and strict compliance with examination protocols across the country.
In a statement released on Monday, December 1, the Ministry of Education and the Ghana Education Service (GES) recalled issuing a firm directive ahead of the 2025 WASSCE, warning that any teacher or official found engaging in malpractice would face strict sanctions — a directive GES said was “rigorously enforced.”
According to the statement, the heightened measures, which included intensified vigilance and strengthened monitoring across examination centres, resulted in the apprehension of students and staff who attempted to engage in various forms of malpractice.
GES maintains that the 2025 results mark a positive shift toward restoring public confidence in national examinations. “The outcome is a direct demonstration of the trend towards restoring the integrity of the examination process,” it noted.
With Ghana set to transition from the Ghana-only WASSCE to the full international version in May/June 2026, GES urged candidates to take their preparation seriously, reaffirming that “Management of GES will not compromise the integrity of examinations.”
