Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Mensa, has urged Ghanaians who are going to vote for the first in the December 7, 2020 polls to be agents of peace.

She made the appeal in a statement dated October 30, 2020.

According to her in the statement, the “destiny of this country is in the hands of the youth and their participation in the political process is key.”

“However, the youth need to put the interest of the country first by standing out as agent of peace before, during and after the elections,” she noted in the statement.

According to the statement, the EC boss made the call when she met with Youth Bridge Foundation, a youth group aimed at mobilizing and building the capacity of Ghanaian first time voters to ensure they make informed decisions when they go to the polls.
