The family of the former Minister of Energy, Hon. Boakye Agyarko, has presented a brand new Mahindra double cabin 4X4 pick-up to Krobo Girls SHS in a colourful ceremony at the forecourt of the school premises.
The family also presented the school with GHC5,000.00 worth of fuel coupons in order to ease their burden of fueling the brand new car for administrative duties.
Hon. Boakye Agyarko, who presented the pick up on behalf of the Boakye Agyarko family, promised the school choir of his greatest commitment to get them professional training from the Winneba Youth Choir, who was present at the occasion.
The former Energy Minister explained that the presentation was in fulfilment of a pledge he made at the school’s Speech and Prize Giving Day and 92nd Anniversary Celebration observed on the 9th March, 2019.
Present at the ceremony were Hon. Simon Kweku Tetteh, MCE Lower Manya Krobo Municipality, Hon. Ebenezer Tetteh Kupualor, MCE for Yilo Krobo Municipality, Mrs Monica Ankrah, Eastern Regional Education Director, Veronica Akoshia Tetteh, Yilo Krobo Municipal Education Director, and some board members of the recipient school.
The Eastern Regional Education Director, who received the car on behalf of the school authorities, expressed her heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Boakye Agyarko and the Agyarkos for continuously supporting the girls’ school of the Krobos.
Mrs Betty Aduhene-Chinbuah, Headmistress of the school, in her address, described Hon. Boakye Agyarko a ‘father for all’ and a unique neighbour.
She also used the opportunity to commend Hon. Boakye Agyarko for the donation of bags of sugar and Mathematics Course Books to the school not long ago after he had donated GHC5,000.00 to the school at its Speech and Prize Giving Day.
