The Hon. Minister for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta has told Parliament that, his Ministry has no hand in President’s travels.

He explained that his Ministry releases funds quarterly to the various heads of departments which includes government machinery to take care of such activities.

Mr. Ofori-Atta added that the national security Secretariat and the office of government machinery work together on President’s travels.

The finance minister made these remarks when he appeared before the House to answer an urgent question filed by MP for North Tongu and ranking member on foreign affairs committee of Parliament, Samuel Okudzato Ablakwa on President Akufo-Addo’s travels to Belgium, France, and South Africa.

Mr. Samuel Okudzato Ablakwa was really amazed about the answer of the finance minister because, he earlier had Information that, Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta has indicated that, he needed some more time to come to Parliament and answer his question.
