Green Sports Academy on December 26 staged the first ever boxing event in Akatsi North district precisely Ave-Xevi in the Volta Region. The program which was to meant to unearth young talents aged between 14-21 years, after the night recruited the following to begin the setting up of Boxing Gym in Ave-Xevi:

Badzi Christopher.
The main professional bout of the night was between Dodzi Kemeh and Kofi Manu which end in a draw. The ice on cake of the Green Sports Academy Talent Exhibition Boxing night was when Ayigbe Edem mounted the ring to entertain the massive crowd that grace the occasion.
The CEO and founder of the Green Sports Academy who solely financed the event had this to say after the event.
“Volta Region is blessed with talents and resources and believes it’s time to let the whole world hear of region and what Green Sports Academy is doing to enhance and build the capacity of the young talents. It’s his wish that very soon Volta region should hosting international bouts.”
He was also grateful to the chiefs for donating hectors of lands to the Academy to develop sports in the community.
Green Sports Academy is a fast growing sports institution that is focus in developing Soccer and boxing talents to meet the international standard and market.
