Executive Director of the Environment Protection Agency Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu says his outfit is strongly collaborating with the police service to cause the arrest of the owner of Sta Addams Enterprise Mr. Samuel Twumasi Addo where an explosion occured on Saturday night claiming lives and properties.
According to him, the owner has since not shown up after the explosion and it’s worrying.
Speaking to omannews, Dr Henry Kwabena Kokofu said the quarry company do not even have an EPA permit to carry out such activities on that site and he is informed that they secretly carry out their illegal working activities at night.
Dr. Kokofu said the western regional security council has also set up a 9 member committee to also investigate the cause of the Kobina-Andokrom quarry explosion.
Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu also called on Ghanaians to be whistle blowers to help the security agencies clamp down on illegal activities to avert any harm.
