Ghana lost 4-0 to the United States of America in an international friendly at GEODIS Park, Nashville, Tennessee.

The Black Stars who were hoping to redeem themselves from the earlier defeat to Mexico on Saturday, conceded four first half goals in Nashville.

Gio Reyna fired home the first goal from a rebound following a weak clearance from Nicholas Opoku in the 10th minute.

Captain Christian Pulisic scored the second from the spot in the 19th minute after he was fouled in the box before Folarin Balogun’s perfect finish and Gio Reyna’s chip completed the job for the USA.

Ghana made some changes in the second half hoping to fight back but that wasn’t enough as the United States held on to win the game.

Kingsley Schindler came on for Gideon Mensah, Salis Abdul Samed was introduced for Thomas Partey as Antoine Semenyo and Ernest Nuamah were brought in for Inaki Williams and Mohammed Kudus respectively.

The USA took control of the key moments in the game as they tested Manaf Nurudeen countless times.

The Belgium-based shot-stopper who replaced Lawrence Ati-Zigi pulled some crucial saves to save Ghana from brutal annihilation as the game ended 4-0 in favor of the United States.

The two results keep Ghana at a very low – after the 2-0 loss to Mexico on Saturday, October 14.

Ghana has two crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and the Comoros Islands in November.
