Schools will be re-opened for first-year senior high school students for the 2024/25 academic year on Friday, September 27, 2024, the Ghana Education Service has announced.

This is for the Junior High School graduates who completed the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) last Monday.

In a letter dated July 15, 2024, addressed to all regional directors of education, and signed by Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, the acting director for the Schools and Instructions Division on behalf of the Director General of the GES, parents and school heads were advised to take note and prepare accordingly.

Additionally, the GES stated that the vacation date for the students will be on Friday, December 6, 2024.

It was explained that all other activities and programmes scheduled for the semester remain unchanged.
