The Ministry of Education (GES) and Youth Employment Agency (YEA) have signed MoU to recruit 7,730 young Ghanaians from various districts to be trained and deployed to all Senior High School.

Addressing the media the CEO of YEA Mr Austin Koduah said the various areas the youth will be deployed to work in include:School Guards/Security Assistants and the Kitchen Assistants.

He further said that the objective of the programme will among other things seek to achieve :promote the health and safety of students and staff of various high schools, create a supportive and orderly environment for activities, provide excellent nutritional service for staff and students among others.

The Director of Ghana Education Service Prof. Akwasi Opoku Amankwah also said the MoU will go far to help reducing the unemployment situation in the country and also to help various senior high schools which do not have more caterers.
