The Parliamentary Press Corps of Ghana’s Parliament, has honoured the Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin.
The Awards dubbed ‘First Parliamentary Reporting Awards’, the group awarded the astute legal practitioner and legislator, Afenyo-Markin the Most Media Friendly MP of the Year 2019(Majority Caucus)’
According to the group, Honourable Afenyo-Markin’s relationship with the membership of the Press Corps specifically and the media in general cannot be underestimated.
The Effutu MP, the group said, opens his doors to them as and when they approach him.
In giving the award to the Effutu MP, the Dean of the Parliamentary Press Corps, Nana Agyeman Birikorang said:
“For his outstanding role in helping build a friendly relationship with the Members of Parliament and the media, we are happy to award this to Honourable Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin, MP, Effutu Constituency” he stated.
The Member of Parliament for Effutu, Alexander Afenyo-Markin is known for his strong ties with the media. The award from the Press Corps lends credence to that belief.
