The deceased, Peter Kwasi Amale, 30yrs P.O.P ceiling worker, in the company of two other siblings, Prince Amale, 27yrs & Michael Deh, 27yrs had gone to sympathise with one other sibling, Kofi Akpalu whose wife had died at Ayisaa.

From Ayisaa, Peter Kwasi Amale, Prince Amale & Michael Deh boarded Hyundai H100 with registration number ER 1623 – 13 which was plying the road, to Koforidua. The driver continued picking passengers along the road.

The 3 siblings protested against the number of passengers driver was picking since he was overloading as against the covid-19 social distancing directive.
When the driver got to Akwadum, a passenger alighted at the Round About but the driver decided to pick others more.
The 3 siblings got down from the vehicle in protest.

Prince then demanded for change from the mate since they had earlier paid the fare to Koforidua. The other 2 i.e. Peter & Michael walked to the driver and confronted him. There was hot exchange of words.

The driver jumped down from his seat and with a knife, stabbed Peter Kwasi Amale and Michael Deh. The oozing of blood caused Prince Amale to pick his two siblings to the Koforidua regional hospital where Peter Kwasi Amale was pronounced dead with cuts on head and left ribs.

Michael Deh is currently on admissions with cut on his right ribs.

The Hyundai H100 driver, Kofi Annan, 34yrs is in the grips of the police.
Investigation is ongoing.
