- As of Saturday, June 27, 2020, Ghana’s case count stood at 17,351 positive cases, with 12,994 recoveries and 112 deaths (constituting 0.6 per cent of positives)
- Out of the 4,245 active cases, 30 persons are severely and critically ill

- Issues surrounding the payment of allowances to frontline health workers have been resolved; payments will be effected from the end of June
- The insurance package for health workers is still in place
- All are encouraged to strictly adhere to all the safety protocols and consume local foods as they remain “our weapon to combat the virus.”
- Final year JHS students are to return to school tomorrow, June 29, 2020 to prepare for their BECE exams; 532,000 students, 218,000 teaching and non-teaching staff and invigilators are to report
- All Junior High Schools across the country have been fumigated and disinfected
- Government has procured and distributed 45,000 Veronica Buckets, 90,00 gallons of liquid soap, 90,000 rolls of tissue paper, 40,000 thermometer guns, 750,000 pieces of 200ml sanitisers, and 2.2million reusable face masks
- Every student will be provided with three pieces of reusable face masks, i.e. two being provided tomorrow, and the third within a fortnight
- A COVID-19 sensitisation programme will be organised for all headteachers and the teaching staff from Monday, June 28, 2020
- There will be no more than 30 students in a class; students will report at 9a.m. and close at 1 p.m.
- There will no breaks outside the classroom; assembles and sporting events are banned; the use of classrooms for religious activities will also not be allowed
- Each basic school has been mapped to a health facility and care will be provided to the sick in the assigned health facilities.
