Mr.Eric Asiedu Techiman Municipal Director of National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) has cautioned parents and teachers to inspect the Personal Protective Equipments (PPE’s) of all Junior High school (JHS) final years students who resumed to school on Monday 29/6/2020 to prepare for their final exams as announced by the President;Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo yesterday.

Speaking to journalists in Techiman ,Mr Asiedu observed that the nose masks presented to the BECE candidates are white hence parents should make sure their ward wash their masks anytime they return from school which teachers should also inspect the hygienic condition of the masks as well as their sanitizers in order for the students make proper use of them in order not to misplace them but rather use them for prevention so as to contain and curb the spread of the novel corona virus(COVID-19) among the students which could later spread to their families.

Mr.Eric Asiedu again urged parents and teachers to monitor the movement of the BECE candidates to and from school because the children would move from their respective houses to their various schools unlike that of WASSCE candidates and Gold track students who reported to school last week who are kept in boarding houses throughout the country .

Mr Eric Asiedu also urged all Ghanaians to comply with the various safety protocols regarding covid 19 to curb the spread.

Finally, Mr.Asiedu said Techiman NADMO Secretariat in collaboration with Zoomlion have embarked on desilting of all gutters in Techiman to curb flooding and urged citizens not to throw debris into gutters especially this raining season.
