In the anniversary of the commemoration of the 20th year of the enstoolment of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, a durbar was held in Kumasi, where people from all walks of life paid homage to the Asantehene.
A statue of the Asantehene was also unveiled at the Kejetia Central Market as part of the 20 years enstoolment of the King of Ashanti.
According to most of the people who spoke with Omanfmonline, the bust is not in anyway the exact replica of the King and must therefore be pulled down, others think those who created the bust must be sanctioned.
The coordinator of the creation of the statue, Dr.Osei Bobie Boahen, has said that the Elders and Nananom approved of the statue before it was mounted.
He called on the people to stop the unprofessional criticisms and see the statue from a professional point of view.
He said depending on where you are standing and the angle of viewing, you might not get it right.
