The President, His excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has today cut the sod for the construction of €70million complex hospital for Eastern region.
The President said the project was initiated from his table in 2017 and that today he is happy on his return to his home region and this time, to cut the sod for the construction of the regional hospital.
The President said the 1st phase of the project when completed would make ready 285 bed facility out of a total capacity of 600 bed facility.
The President took the opportunity to renew government’s commitment to guaranteeing descent healthcare for every Ghanaian.
He charged the contractor to ensure that the hospital is completed within schedule.
Furthermore, the President named some areas in the country where construction of districts with 100 bed capacity and accommodation for doctors
In conclusion and speaking to Nananom, President Akufo-Addo said he is committed to whatever he says that very soon all he has said about the other district hospitals would come to fruition.
He said those who continue saying “ontumi ny3, ontumi ny3” should open their eyes and that the 4 years more for him would bring much more development to Ghana.
