The Ablekuma West Municipal Assembly has successfully organized a three-day street carnival for community members within the Municipal assembly.
The three days event which received huge patronage took place at the Ameley Tagoe Roundabout in Dansoman from the 16th to 18th of December, with the theme, “Promoting local economy and unity”.
Some activities as part of the festival were football, a musical concert, a talent hunt, basketball and the exhibition of all kinds of products which will enable people to purchase at affordable prices.
The Municipal Chief executive of Ablekuma West, George Cyril Bray in his brief remarks stated that this festival will enable natives of Dansoman to stay in their town instead of traveling from Dansoman to other towns to celebrate the festive season since there will be a display of goods from market women and display of talent from the town.
He added that the festival would foster unity, and cohesion, and ensure residents deliberate and find ways to make the municipality a better one.
He, therefore, thanked the Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency, Ursula Owusu Ekuful and other sponsors for their immense support for the success of the festival.
