Some NPP youth groups in the Akuapem North constituency have cautioned its Member of Parliament, Nana Ama Dokuah to be mindful of developmental projects in the constituency and by this vote for the e-levy to be passed.
According to them, failure by the MP to do this will amount to the massive demonstrations by the youth groups in the constituency.
The group by this disassociated itself from some comments made by the Akuapem North constituency youth organizer Kojo Owusu Afriyie which opposes the government’s E-Levy policy.
The leader of the youth group Enoch Attram described the comments as unfortunate and has by this rendered an unqualified apology to the president of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and all party Executives, and by this also called for stringent sanctions against its constituency youth organizer who openly opposed the E-levy policy on Facebook.
According to him, the youth of Akuapem North are respectful and law-abiding, hence weeing out all individuals sabotaging government business in the constituency.
He made these comments during a press briefing on Monday 21st March 2022 in the Akuapem North constituency.
