The Ghana statistical has today began the 14 days national enumeration exercise at the residence of the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Speaking to the government statistician and his team, the president expressed his confidence in the team to keep to the Act’s provisions, which implores them to be confidential with the information they gather.
He also noted that it is important to count everybody who was in Ghana on the 27th of June, that is last night regardless of nationality, ethnicity, or status as the act also stipulates.
Mr. President also called on all Ghanaians to participate in this exercise and corporate to make sure that we have all the information that the census is meant to provide. This he says will help the government plan and project effectively for the development of the country.
Speaking before counting the president of the land and his household, the government statistician, Samuel Kobina Annim noted that the details collection exercise will be confidential and only used for social-economic, demographics, and national use.
