The Head of Atwima Mponua District Assembly in the Ashanti region who is also Chairman of District COVID 19 Emergency Committee Hon Williams Darko ( Showboy) has debunked media reportage saying the district have been denied of financial support to ” fight of the COVID 19″ in terms of provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs ) and getting isolation centre to accommodate any patient.
We as Assembly together with able Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah ( Sports Minister & M.P. for Atwima Mponua Constituency) have presented more PPEs throughout all the health Facilities in the District as well as financial support to the District Health Directorate Incase of any emergency and it comes with a huge cost ,so why those unfounded publications said DCE Hon Williams Darko.
According to the publication, it was known that Hon Darko Clinton ( Assembly Member for Nyinahin Abonbunyunu/ Adupire Electoral Area) engaged with media after the district recorded it’s first case of COVIDbe19 case at Nyinahin and hence was making a passionate appeal to the government for support and also how best to gets isolation centres for any eventualities.
Meanwhile,the Assembly with the support from Hon Isaac Kwame Asiamah has secured a place of isolation centre to curtail any further case.
According to DCE Hon Williams Darko , pragmatic measures have been intensified through contact tracing, socal distancing with the support from the security apparatus,more PPEs provided and public education been intensified as vigorous checks is on course not to increase the first case had.
He commended the good work done by Ghanains Media especially on this Covid 19 as encouraged them to cross check from authorities Incase of any stories for authenticity and good professionalism.
