The Deputy Minister for Finance, Dr John Ampontuah Kumah has stated that the Bank of Ghana has not printed any money to the tune of Twenty-Two billion Ghana cedis as claimed by the minority.

He explained that section 30 of the Bank of Ghana’s Act allows them to grant overdrafts to the government over a period and pay them back.

Mr Kumah further explains that the government is not hiding any information from the public with respect to comments made by the ranking member of the finance committee, Cassiel Ato Forson stating that, the government was hiding information that was published in the 2022 budget which talks about Ghana’s debt.
