The President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government of Nigeria has directed all civil servants to close at 1 pm ahead of the second leg of the 2022 FIFA World Cup double-header playoff qualifiers between the Super Eagles and the Black Stars of Ghana.
The move, according to a communique issued on Monday (March 28) by Dr. Ngozi Onwudiwe, Permanent Secretary (Service Welfare Office) for the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, was to mobilize support for the Nigerian team at the 60,000-capacity MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja or at home via television.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria were held to a 0-0 draw by Ghana in the first leg at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti.
