Graham Potter led the Chelsea team in action yesterday in their 4th Group E game of the ongoing UEFA Champions League campaign away from home against Italian Serie A Champion, AC Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro.

Chelsea’s young midfield maestro and England international, Mason Mount was superb for the Blues in the away game despite playing only 45 minutes before he was substituted for Conor Gallagher in the 46th minute of the second half.

The 23-year-old football talent was superb and fantastic for the visitor with his impactful minutes spent on the pitch of play where he was in charge at the heart of the center-field playing more of the offensive role which helped in getting the ball advanced upfront.

He as such played an instrumental role in recording back-to-back wins against Stefano Pioli’s side in the space of one week as he created the assist for his team’s second goal of the night.

The Blues in the 21st minute got the score sheet opened with a goal via penalty as Jorginho Frello put the ball away from the spot to make it one-nil before Mason Mount set up a brilliant assist for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who doubled the lead in the 34th minute to make it two goals to nil going into the half time break.

The tempo of the game in the second half got tensed up between the two sides as they both put up some physical, tactical and technical displays but none was able to find the back of the net with all attempts to add more to the tally proving abortive as it ended two goals to nil at full time.

After the game, England international and Cobham academy graduate Mason Mount was named the winner of the Man of the Match award following his outstanding performance for his team in the thrilling encounter which was a well-deserved one.

He will then be hoping to keep the tempo and momentum going for his team in their next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition.
