The Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has on Thursday, 17th February, 2022 contributed their quota to rebuilding the Apiate Community with a sum of 100,000 Ghana Cedis through the Appiatse Support Fund.

The donation was made by a delegation from CBG led by the Managing Director, Mr. Daniel Addo who is a remark said as an institution they identify with the objectives and pillars of the fund which is to stand by the people of Appiatse and therefore they stand by Appiatse with this gesture.

Mr. Addo said they are delighted to donate for such a noble cause adding that they also buy into the greener, sustainable, and environmentally friendly township idea which will soon serve as a model for building townships in the country.

” for us at CBG, we always believe that the company has an obligation to the communities and environment in which we operate to make wealth and that obligation extends to reaching out a hand of friendship when there are challenges in that community and this is why we thought it necessary to make this donation and this also speaks to our tagline which is, CBG We Stand With You” He concluded.

Rev. Dr. Joyce Aryee the Chairperson of the Fund who gratefully received the donation said she is happy institutions like CBG have also joined the donation train.

She reiterated her plea to the media to massively publicize the fund’s vision through the tagline “Obiaa ntua bi” adding that the popularity of the fund stands on the shoulders of the media.

She said they should all come together both new and traditional media to push this noble agenda of the government to rebuild the Appiatse Community.

Madam Joyce Aryee again called on other institutions and their staff members to also do the needful and give no matter how small.

She stressed ” it is not about the quantum but the desire to see a new township built for our people”
