As part of government measures to open Junior high school in the country which has been scheduled to for 29th June 2020, the Afigya kwabre South district education directorate in collaboration with the health directorate of the district have organized a workshop for headteachers for both public and private schools, School Health Educational Program coordinators and circuit supervisors at Kodie to sensitize them on the covid 19 containment protocols.

In his 10th address to the country on anti covid19 measures, President Akufo-Addo disclosed the gradual resumption of academic activities across the country, especially for those in their final stages who are due to write their exit examinations.

The District Director of Education in Afigya Kwabre South, Madam Dorah Asare in her address to participants at the workshop, mentioned that the aim of the workshop is to educate the heads and other stakeholders to be able to implement the safety protocols put up by government to protect the pupils
Madam Dora Asare used the occasion to call on teachers to observe all the safety protocols in their various schools to serve as examples.

Madam Dora Asare assured parents and guardians to remain calm as proper measures are in place to protect the pupils.

The District Health Director for Afigya Kwabre South Madam Christiana Kontoh in an interview explained the reason why they have partnered with the education directorate on four thematic areas for the exercise. She further mentioned that government has fumigated all the schools in the district
