The CEO of Ashanti Gold Football FC Frederick Acheampong has resigned from his post which takes effect from 30th of this month April 2020.

The Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association spent two years as C.E.O of the club and supervised their journey in the CAF Confederations Cup.

Frederick Acheampong thanked the club for the opportunity, labelling his journey with the miners as the end of a ‘golden era’.
“End of a golden road. I have tendered in my resignation as C.E.O. of Ashantigold effective 30th April 2020,” he posted on Twitter.

“I have grown and learnt immensely at the club but it’s time to move on for personal reasons, i want to thank Dr Frimpong (Champion), the club and supporters for the opportunity,” he added.

Though the club Dr President Frimpong has accepted Acheampong’s resignation letter no one knows the main reasons why the CEO has left the team.
