Former President John Mahama has been advised to stop running a parallel administration as the govt continues its efforts in containing the spread of the corona virus pandemic in the country.
This was disclosed by a member of the communication team of the New Patriotic Party, Ernest Yaw Kumi on Tuesday.
Speaking on the Dialogue, one of the flagship shows of NET2 TV, Ernest Yaw Kumi said it was irresponsible for the Former President to be seemingly running a parallel administration to contain and curb the spread of the novel deadly coronavirus, COVID-19 in Ghana.
He posited the fact that anytime President Akufo-Addo makes a presidential address on the measures being taken by the govt to manage the pandemic, Ex-President Mahama also makes a similar address and that attitude must stop.
Ernest Kumi said the former President John Mahama is sending confusing signals to the people as his presentation is flawed and unnecessary.
The NPP communicator said, the former president should support the efforts of the president rather than seeking to do presentations which amounts to nothing.
Using the U.S. as an example, he said it was imperative for the former president and the NDC to do same.
