Leicester City’s Fatawu Issahaku had a night to remember in the FA Cup, scoring a beautiful goal and being named Man of the Match (MOTM) in their extra-time win over Bournemouth.

The Ghanaian winger, who joined the Foxes on loan from Sporting CP in the summer, has been impressive and continued his fine form in the cup tie on Tuesday night.

The match itself was a closely contested affair, with both teams creating chances but unable to find the back of the net in regular time.

With the clock ticking down in extra time, Issahaku collected the ball on the edge of the area and unleashed a curling shot that found its way past Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers and into the top corner of the net.

The goal was enough to send Leicester City through to the next round of the FA Cup.

Speaking after the match, Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca praised his team’s performance, saying, “It was a good win and a good game. I don’t think winning tonight shows we are Premier League level or if we’d lost that we aren’t Premier League level. It is just a game. Tonight we showed our level and we are happy.”

Issahaku’s performances for Leicester City have not gone unnoticed, with reports suggesting that the club is looking to make his loan deal permanent.

The 19-year-old has scored four goals and provided nine assists in 29 appearances for the Foxes, helping them to the top of the Championship table and a strong position to secure promotion to the Premier League.

It was a great night for Fatawu Issahaku and Leicester City, who continue to impress in both the Championship and FA Cup.

The young winger’s future looks bright, and he is sure to be an integral part of the Foxes’ push for promotion and success in the coming months.
