The Accra Circuit Court has discharged four more protesters from the Democracy Hub following the state’s withdrawal of charges against them.

The state prosecution team informed the court that they had filed new charges to substitute the initial ones brought against the protesters on September 25.

The discharged individuals are Cedric Bansah, Emmanuel Offei, Nana Amo Mensah Prempeh, and Thomas Yeboah.

This latest development brings the total number of discharged protesters to 11, as the court continues to process and hear cases related to the Democracy Hub demonstrations.

A total of 53 protesters were arrested during the three-day protest, which occurred from September 21 to September 23. Prior to this, seven protesters were discharged in a similar decision on Tuesday, October 22.
