The Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic, Kwame Baffoe Abronye DC has disclosed that Ghana is set to establish a regulatory board for the cashew and other tree crops in September this year to regulate and create a conducive environment for the growth and development of the cashew and other tree crops with consequential benefits to the national economy.
According to him, plans are far advanced in that respect and by September this year it would be given government approval for the commencement of its activities.
Kwame Baffoe Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party hinted this on a live broadcast on Radio West Africa in Wenchi during his visit to the registration centers in the region to ascertain the successes and challenges of the compilation of a new Voter’s register for the impending general elections.
Chairman Abronye said the Board is also necessary because it will protect the farmers from being exploited by expatriate buyers.
Chairman Abronye called on all Ghanaians who have attain the voting age with sound mind to troop to the various registration centres to get their new voters Identification card.
