The President then responded with an immediate visit to to the scenery and assured victims of his governments support in two weeks and in less than two weeks government has honoured his pledge by releasing funds of GHC 400 000,000 through the collaboration of MASLOC and NBSSI to be distributed to victims.
Speaking at a brief ceremony to present the 1st tranche of support to victims, the representative of the Board Chairman of MASLOC, Hon Ama Sey, noted that, the support will be in tranches and in all MASLOC and NBSSi will be given out four hundred million Ghana Cedis (GHC400, 000,000) to help them restart their business.
Also government is putting measures in place to rebuild the marketplace for traders early next year, hence the need for Ghanaians to vote massively for them.
