The Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a Flagbearer aspirant of the just-ended New Patriotic Party presidential primaries, Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong, has promised to set up Ethanol Factories in the Volta and Central Regions to reward them for the confidence reposed in him during the primaries.

He said the massive endorsements by the delegates in those regions need to be reciprocated.

Hon Agyapong said this at a well-attended Thanksgiving get-together, organized to express his gratitude to God and to his many followers.

Although he did not win the presidential primaries, many in the political landscape of Ghana have said that Ken is the true hero of the election because he pulled nearly 40 percent of the votes against the “establishment candidate” Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to the Assin Central Member of Parliament, his performance at the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary shows that he is a force to be reckoned with and that no major decision can be taken by the party without consulting him.

Hon. Ken Agyapong thanked his supporters and coordinators who worked very hard for his achievement during the NPP presidential primary.

Mr. Agyapong revealed that he was underestimated by many, including some so-called religious leaders, where a pastor even predicted that his best performance would be 16%, but he is praying for that pastor, that God should grant him long life.

Hon. Agyapong advised the supporters to keep and extend the unity and support they have for him to the party to be able to break the eight.
