The Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has affirmed the readiness of the police to oversee the December 7th general elections, promising a proactive approach to election security.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Eminent Persons Group 2024, the IGP highlighted the success of the police in ensuring violence-free by-elections, voter registration, and vote transfer exercises with competence and diligence.

Dr. Dampare expressed confidence that the same level of security and professionalism will be maintained for the 2024 general elections, aiming for a peaceful process with no loss of life.
