The Minister for Health, Hon Kwaku Agyemang Manu backed by the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon Eric Kwakye Darfour, were at the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital to cut the sod for massive renovation work to begin.
Hon Kwaku Agyemang Manu said this massive renovation of the hospital is a vision of Prez Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and to bring back the honor of Tetteh Quarshie and also for the hospital to be able to render good service to people who may be going to the facility.
Hon Agyemang Manu said the hospital would then produce their own gas and soon afterwards the hospital would go paperless.
The actions and inactions of some traditional leaders and some people of Mampong and Abotakyi was clear manifestation which could disturb peace in the area and the Min for health did not turn blind eye nor deaf ears to that.
He commented on that and advised all to live in peace. He stated finally that even if the hospital is raised to the best status, no health workers would like to be posted there if there is no peace within the environment
