Authorities of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) have announced plans to partner with the Ghana Post in what they describe as a long-term strategic plan.

According to the Director-General of the NLA, Samuel Awuku, this partnership will enable the national Lottery Authority to set up offices within some strategic locations of the Ghana Post to enable Ghanaians to stake lotto with ease.

He also believes that the partnership will also enable customers who stake lotto within the Regional and District levels to receive their cash with ease after winning.

Mr Awuku, however, explained that the National Lottery Authority through this partnership intends to carry the Ghana Post on its wings, to enable both institutions to grow together with the prime focus on ensuring adequate funds are raised for the state and for developmental projects.

“The Ghana Post has the expertise to deliver on its mandate when given a push”, Awuku added.

Mr Awuku assured the Ghana Post of the NLA’s topmost commitments in ensuring that this partnership benefits both institutions and also brings relief to consumers.

He made these remarks today, Thursday 10th February 2022, during a courtesy call by the Managing Director of Ghana Post, Bice Osei Kuffuor, and officials from the Ghana Post.

On his part, the Managing director of Ghana Post, Mr. Bice Osei Kuffuor highlighted the efforts of positive gains by the Ghana Post, and further called on institutions and individuals to impose trust in them to deliver excellently and also remain very relevant in raising funds for the development of the nation. Over the past four years, Ghana Post has been on a path to turnaround, leading to significant growth through innovation, the introduction of innovative services, and the expansion of its fleet.

The digitization of post offices across Ghana has been at the centre of the turnaround strategy, allowing the company flexibility to add on new services easily. At the same time, the government’s introduction of a digital addressing system has enhanced the delivery of mail and parcels.
