The National Election Security Task Force led by the Inspector General of Police has developed new strategies to help curb Security related issues in the upcoming general elections.

Addressing representatives of the political parties, Chairman of the NESTF, Dr. George Akufo Dampare asserted that the new strategies are in line with their mandate to maintain peace, law, and order,before,during, and after the elections.

The Inspector General of Police urged the Political parties to inform their rank and file members that there is only state actors when it comes to Security and therefore any individual or group of persons found culprit with be dealt with as the law demands.

According to him, the NESTF is committed to showing their patriotism to the country by ensuring the elections become peaceful and will be satisfactory to every Ghanaian.

Dr. George Akufo Dampare reiterated that the NESTF will be showing a high level of professionalism that will showcase their impartiality, firm, and transparency during the election period.
