The Techiman Municipal Director of National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) Mr Eric Asiedu the Secretariat in collaboration with the Municipal Health service, Environmental Health , security agencies etc are mounting check points at all entry perimeters to the Techiman municipality in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 to the area and the Bono East Region as a whole which has not recorded a single case of coronavirus.


Speaking to journalists in an interview,Mr Asiedu said the mandate of NADMO this time is to partner with various groups to make sure all safety protocols are adhered to hence the reason for implementing no mask no entry to the commercial hub of the country Techiman.


He added that Techiman Municipal Assembly through MCE Hon.John Kofi Donyina have distributed over 10,000 nose masks to business men and women as well as drivers to protect themselves.


Mr Eric Asiedu explained that prevention pays as a result it is mandatory to use nose masks as directed by the president Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo which should be observed by all Ghanaians as such
this means that from today no nose mask no entry to Techiman.


Base on this the MCE and his entourage are visiting various market centers in the municipality to make sure are market men and women adhere to the directives.
