President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Professor Ransford Gyampo, a political science professor at the University of Ghana, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.
Professor Gyampo takes over from Kwesi Baffour Sarpong, who was appointed to the position by the Akufo-Addo administration in December 2023.
The appointment of Professor Gyampo is effective immediately.
His appointment was officially confirmed in a letter issued by Dr. Calistus Mahama, the Executive Secretary to the President.
As part of the transition, Mr. Sarpong has been directed to promptly hand over his duties to Professor Gyampo to ensure a seamless leadership change.
