Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, the Provost of the College of Education Studies at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), has been appointed as the new Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES).

His appointment was officially announced in a Facebook post by the Ghana Education Service (GES) on Monday, January 27.

Professor Davis brings a wealth of academic expertise and professional experience to his new role. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from Monash University in Australia.

His distinguished career includes being named a Carnegie African Diaspora Fellow, a prestigious honor recognizing scholars who contribute to advancing education and research in Africa.

Additionally, he is an active member of the Ghana Mathematics Association, an organization committed to promoting excellence in mathematics education throughout the country.
