Ranking member, Public Accounts Committe Hon.Kofi Okyere Agyekum Arafat says the committee will do everything within its mandate to make sure that everybody who misappropriated funds at the Ghana Trade Fair Company during the era of the former CEO Emmanuel Okpoti Konney is dealt with.
The Public Accounts Committe met to examine the Auditor General’s report on the accounts of the trade fair under the leadership of Emmanuel Okpoti Konney who ran the place for nearly 10years during which an amount of GHC349,000 was misappropriated.
Speaking to Omanonline, Hon.Okyere Arafat said they have already invited all those who matter in the case and have ordered for a full forensic audit on report into the matter.
Hon.Arafat said nobody should underrate the workings of the Public Accounts Committee because their recommendations, when found to be criminal, are all reported to the Attorney General office for prosecution.
