The Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye has spilled out restrictions put in place to restrict the public from coming to Parliament in witnessing the mid-year budget review scheduled for today Thursday, 23 July, 2020.

Speaking at the plenary, he said, the Minister for finance, Ken Ofori Atta would be Parliament to present the mid-year budget review to Ghanaians and with view of maintaining social distancing and other protocols with regards to COVID-19, the public is restricted from appearing in Parliament this time, unlike the usual public appearance at the chamber.

Mr Speaker advised that, all media houses should monitor the program on the nation television (GBC) and other private tv stations since arrangements has been out in place to telecast the program live from the house and that no media house would be permitted to cover the program apart from the members of the parliamentary press corps.
