Team Ghana has announced its readiness to participate in the 2019 Beach Games to be staged in Cape Verde following the successful arrival of the first batch in host city Sal on Wednesday morning.

The first batch of the contingent left Accra in high spirit for the competition with the anticipation of making a huge impact when it officially gets underway on 14th – 24th June 2019.

Out of the 11 available for the multi-sport event, Ghana is participating in only four disciplines including Freestyle Soccer, Karate Kata, Beach Volleyball and 3 aside Basketball for the inaugural edition.

Two athletes and the team’s press officer joined the first group for the assignment which was led by Chef de Mission Stephen Asante Bekoe and the Deputy Director of National Sports Authority Mr Majeed Bawa.

The last set is expected to join their colleagues on Friday, 14th June, 2019.
